Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which makes it the official start to the holidays. It makes you wonder where the year 2016 has gone, since it seems to have flown by. Now, here we are with Turkey Day quickly approaching and some of you are probably hosting the big meal, no pressure right? There’s so much going on, whether it be prepping and cooking the meal, making sure the football game isn’t taking over the entire party, entertaining different members of the family, getting drinks and such for friends and watching the kiddos play about, it can be hard to think that you can add some unique touches that everyone will be grateful for. Well, don’t fret, we’ve done the research for you and have found some really cute, fun and different ways to set your decor and serving techniques. Your guests will be super impressed by these little touches that you may end up being required to host the dinner again next year!

Here’s some ideas we think you’re going to love.

Pies on a stick

Let’s face it, pie is must at Thanksgiving. Whether it be apple, blueberry, pumpkin or pecan, it’s the dessert that everyone waits for after the feast has been served. This year, why not add a very unique, but super cute twist to it? Instead of just have a pie set out that everyone cuts into, why not make mini pies on sticks, little pie lollipops if you will. The kids will adorable them and the adults will gush about them.

Personal gravy cups

Ever been to Thanksgiving dinner where everyone passes the food around the table and for some reason it seems that the gravy somehow seems to get lost in the mix and never make it to all ends of the table? We found a clever way to solve this mini problem and adds a unique way to enhance your table setting; simply give guests their own little gravy cup or boat. Then they always have it available to drizzle over that fantastic turkey you spent all day cooking or on those mouth-watering mash potatoes.

Pinecone name tags

If you’re someone who likes to have place settings at your dinner parties, you’ll love this idea. Instead of using a place card or piece of paper with your guests name, spice it up a bit with some fall flare. Gather some pinecones, or pick some up at Michaels and use them has your card holder for each plate. You can print out the names or get creative with markers and paints, create the name tag and simply place in the pinecone. It will give your table that little extra something that everyone will simply love.

Thankful pumpkin

Here’s something that really brings out the seasons meaning. Get a pumpkin, you can paint it white, or whatever color you want and write, ‘What are you thankful for”, place it out on a table with a sharpie next to it and have your guests answer the question with their name. Not only is this a great way to get people to interact and share their gratitude, but it also makes for a very special keepsake that you look back on for years to come.

Turkey candy gifts

To show your appreciation for those who attended your Thanksgiving party, have some gifts prepared for them to take as they leave. You can simply fill some mason jars with yummy jams or hot coco, or you could create a turkey candy that look and tastes super sweet. A little tulle, piper cleaner, eyes, ribbon and of course the candy can go a long way. Gobble, gobble!
